Our Community

Ansley Parish Council is the governing body. We are responsible for a wide range of services and facilities, including local services, leisure facilities, planning, housing and environment services. As a Parish Council, we are committed to the wellbeing of our residents, businesses and visitors and strive to ensure that our community is a great place to live, work and visit. We are proud of our vibrant and diverse community. With approximately 1000 homes and over 3000 residents, we are a community of all ages, backgrounds and interests. The word “Ley” in Ansley and Birchley means clearing in a forest, which stems from our history as part of the Forest of Arden. A lot of our history revolves around the mining and farming industries, which still influence our community to this day.
